Ian Anderson
Associate Producer
I have worked in Australia's film and television industry for over 30 years. Starting my career as a Colourist for over 10 years at Melbourne’s Cinevex Laboratories before being promoted to Post-Production Manager & then General Manager in 2005.
Throughout my time at Cinevex I dedicated myself to evolving both the talent & technology ensuring the company always provided world-class services & solutions. I am motivated by the development of digital technology over traditional film and relish working closely with filmmakers to ensure the creative integrity of each & every project.
In 2009 Cinevex launched as Deluxe Melbourne & we continued to advance the facility's digital post-capabilities. Most recently I managed the integration of Deluxe Melbourne with another long standing film & television post-production house, Digital Pictures. This was branded DDP Studios, I then lead a team of 30 talented Colourists, Digital Technologists, VFX & Online Artists & Post-Producers in Melbourne's largest postproduction facility.
In 2013 I became Executive producer For DDP Nationally looking after both Melbourne and Sydney while concentrating on the National P&L for the company, I was also responsible for delivering projects on time and budget with an emphasis on managing any investment in the project. I was a founding member of the Screen Services Association of Victoria in 2001 and have also sat on the Melbourne Film Office Advisory Board. In 2016 I was the recipient of the Film Victoria’s John Howie Award for Leadership in the Industry.
