Michala Banas

Associate Producer

Michala is an award-winning actor whose career started at the age of 5 when she worked on a film in her native New Zealand. Since then, she has forged a remarkable career, with film and television credits including “Always Greener”, “Scooby Doo”,  “McLeods Daughters”, “Ned”, “Winners and Losers” and “Beaconsfield”. Her latest TV role is as the feisty Amber Wheeler in the ABC comedy series “Upper Middle Bogan”.

​As well as nominations for several television awards, Michala earned a Helpmann Award (2010) for her stage debut in “Avenue Q”. She has also starred on stage in several productions at the MTC and is the co-artistic director of independent theatre company The KIN collective. She is currently putting her hand to writing and creating new work, including her role as a Story Consultant & Associate Producer for The Show Must Go On.
